Awake on a Friday Night / Saturday Morning

Okay, folk. I'm used to occasional stress and fear of not doing the right thing waking me up at the wee hours of the morning.... But come on. It's the weekend. I have two whole days off of work to spend with friends and do what I want, and here I am at 4:00 in the morning wide awake, feeling slightly acidic in my stomach.

On the bright side, a full moon has decided to shine through my west window. Literally, bright. :-)

Well, once again. I cannot go into the details of my stressfulness on a blog. Darn confidentiality. On the other hand, hopefully, someone is not blogging casually about me for the same reason.

So for anyone else out there who cannot sleep, kuddos. I feel slightly better now, and I'm going to try to turn over and go to sleep.

Snow Days

I've just had three marvelous snow days filled with Lord of the Rings and nominal work. I got all those little projects that I never get done at work done... or at least almost done.

Here are the things I didn't get done in the last three days. 1. I did not find a light-weight, bagless vacuum cleaner for dusting the books in the library. For some reason, I cannot motivate myself to find something useful for this job. 2. I didn't quite finish my missing book list. I'm sending a list of missing books to our professors in hopes that they have them. My goal this weekend was to whittle it down to a page of really good books. I'm pretty close now. I want to search the shelves one last time myself. I'm also going to finally figure out how to track these missing books. I have a plan!

So now, I only have a few hours of snow day left. What to do... what to do. I'm still looking for a little more purpose for my life and drive to obtain it. Can I find fulfillment while settling down and paying off my student loans?

Oh... #3 I didn't read my many library magazines. I need to indulge in reading some library scholarship... maybe over the weekend.
